The Hudson Motor Company introduced the Commodore in 1941 and would have had some success if were not for the second world war following the attacks on Pearl Harbor. In 1942 the Hudson Motor Company assisted in the war effort. Following the end of the WW ll, Hudson resumed production of Commodores.
