Pierce Arrow Motor Car Co. Buffalo, NY

Pierce Arrow Motor Car Co. of Buffalo, NY was one of many prestige American Automobiles built in the U.S. from 1901 to 1938. The first model appeared in 1901 as The Pierce Motorette produced by George N. Pierce. Pierce was also a builder of bicycles and birdcages. In 1904 the company name was changed to Great Arrow and once again in 1909 to Pierce Arrow. By 1914 the Pierce Arrow was available in three models ranging in price from $6,000.00 to $7,000.00. 1920 was the last year for right drive and three new models were introduced in 1921. Sales were dropping in 1923 and in 1928 the Pierce Arrow Motor Car Co. was place under the control of the Studebaker Corp. In 1929 new models were introduced along with a straight eight engine. Sales continued to decrease in the early 1930s even with the new 1933 12 cylinder Silver Arrow priced at $10,000. In 1934 a group of Buffalo businessmen took over Pierce Arrow. But 1936 and 1937 sales were very low and in 1938 the company went out of business.

New for 1948 was the Custom and Super convertible and the novel four door station sedan in the standard Eight series. The 1948 Packard Woodie Wagon featured above and in the magazine ad below had a wagon like body made almost entirely of steel, through it had wood in the tailgate and decorative trim on the doors. This Wagon was unusual for a Packard in 1948 but a beautiful site restored today.

1941 Hudson Woody Wagon

Very Rare 1941 Hudson Woody Wagon for sale San Diego, California. The first Hudson Wagons were produced in 1936 as a business automobile in the Terraplane line. The Terraplane had began in 1932 as a model of the Essex built by Hudson Motor Car Company. The Baker Raulings company made the Terraplane wood wagons and finished by the U.S Body & Forging Co of Indiana. This 1941 Hudson Woody station wagon was built on a long wheel base sedan chassis and entered the mid size higher price class and it was fully restored by it's previous owner and is correct in every way. Engine is an original 212 cubic Inch 102 Horsepower inline 6 cylinder with a manual 3 speed transmission and overdrive.

The woody is a very dependable vehicle that runs and dives great. The paint and body is gorgeous, the wood is in excellent condition and the vinyl roof is like new. Interior is fitted in brown to match the exterior, the rear seats have handsome chrome tubing providing an art deco highlight. A beautiful wood overlay dash add just the right touch to a rich wood paneled interior.

1942 Plymouth Business Coupe

Very rare 1942 Plymouth Business Coupe for sale in Ohio. This car is a perfectly restored car from top to bottom. The car’s old enough to proudly display the Mayflower up front as its brand identity. This old Plymouth won the 2006 AACA Grand National (senior) First Prize with it's outstanding Airwing Gray paint. The Plymouth still has small touches of chrome and stainless and they’ve been straightened, polished, re-anodized, replated or rechromed. A set of BFGoodrich Silvertown 6.00-16 tires wrap body color wheels accented by polished stainless trim rings and large domed center caps, both beautifully trimmed with red inlays. All bushings, bearings, seals and suspension parts were replaced.

The interior has neatly trimmed seats and door panels in beige cloth while the upper door frames and dash are finished in their correct "tiger stripe" grain pattern in gray. Art Deco gauge backgrounds are copper colored are beautiful to look at, and again all chrome and trim is nearly perfect. Stunning Mayflower emblems in a copper sunset reside on the door panels above delicately crafted door handles and window cranks featuring the same ivory color knobs as the steering wheel and dash controls. Chrome presents itself in the center of the dash as an understated accent with its waterfall inspired vertical bars and Mayflower emblem. The seats are super comfortable, the visibility is great.

1915 Ford Model T Brass Era Roadster Pickup

1915 Ford Model T Brass Era Roadster Pickup for sale in California. This old Collector Car has been totally restored. The motor is a stock 20 horsepower and has been rebuilt. The manual transmission was also restored. Frame and suspension was rebuilt and powder coated. Brand new 1927 style model T 21 inch wheels were also powder coated. All new tires and tubes were installed with the new wheels.

Paint is a very bright red with the fenders and running boards done in jet black. Everything on this rare Collector Car is squeaky clean, fresh and beautiful. The Paige-Detroit Motor Car Co. was a Detroit, Michigan based motor car company that was in business from 1908 to 1927. The first model was a 2 passenger roadster built in 1908. By 1911 this Collector Car name was changed to just "Paige". The 1919 models with a Duesenberg engine was known as the Paige-Linwood and models with a Continental engine was know as a Paige-Larchmont. The most popular Paige model was the Daytona roadster, first produced in 1922. This sporty three passenger car had a powerful 6 cylinder engine. For the last model year the paige was offered in a 6 cylinder engine and a straight 8 engine. A cheaper car built by Paige from 1923 to 1926 was the Jewett. In 1928, the Paige became the Graham-Paige.

Under the hood of this 46 Ford Woody is a smooth running period correct restored flathead V-8 engine. The transmission is an easy shifting 3-speed manual mounted on the column. This Woodie Wagon has a highly polished Burgundy paint job with a brown interior. The simulated leather seating surfaces are comfortable and in excellent condition. The original woody look is continued on the exterior with 15 inch wheels, new wide whitewall tires and period correct hubcaps. A roof rack and vintage surf board are also included.

1923 Maxwell Touring Model 25

1923 Maxwell Touring Model 25 for sale in Arizona. This 1923 Maxwell Touring is a very original, unrestored, low mileage car. Recent history shows that this old survivor resided in a museum and a private collection for the past 40 years, including 25 years at the Townsend Museum in Shawnee, Oklahoma and prior to that in a collection in Indianapolis for about 10 years in the 1970s and 1980s. Engine is a 4 cylinder 30HP, Transmission is a 3-speed manual with "H" pattern floor shifter.

The Maxwell Motor Corp operated in Detroit, Michigan from 1913 to 1925. Prior to 1913 this company was known as The Maxwell-Briscoe Motor and operated in Newcastle, Indiana and Tarrytown, N.Y. These cars were the work of Jonathan Maxwell and Benjamin Briscoe. The 1923 Maxwell Touring Model 25 was the last car produced by Jonathan Maxwell. Chrysler took over Maxwell in 1924 and it was replace by a 4 cylinder which ultimately gave way to the Plymouth in 1928.

Cord's Duesenberg straight eight with the silky smoothness of sixteen cylinders. This V16 engine had the flexibility of a steam engine yet silent and smooth. This Cadillac was good enough to impress the most demanding American and European buyers.

This Cadillac Convertible V-16 all weather Phaeton has a body number 34 and was delivered new on March 19 of 1930. 1949 Austin A90 Atlantic Sports Saloon Healey 100 for sale. This amazing car has just arrived from New Zealand. This model is extremely rare as fewer than 8000 were produced between 1948-1951. There are only a very few still in existence. The engine and transmission are the same as were used in the early Austin Healey 100-4 BN1, with twin SU's. This Atlantic has been fitted With the Healey 3-speed plus over drive transmission and is a real performer. The drive train has been upgraded with many performance features, including Jaguar disc brakes, air shocks, radial tires and twin fuel tank fillers as well as complete stainless steel exhaust system. It came stock with power windows although the switches have been upgraded.

Packard records indicate just 11 of these cars were produced in the 1938 Model year. This Packard has had a body off restoration in 2002 and has the original body, chassis, and motor as built by Packard in 1938. The car is equipped with Trippe Safety Lights, the Packard Cormorant Mascot, Dual fender lights, and Dual Side Mount Spares with Metal Covers, and Packard Script Mirrors. There is also an Appleton Spotlight, and a rear mounted trunk rack with twin Packard back-up lights. 1949 Cadillac Sedanet Club Coupe

1949 Cadillac Fastback Sixty-Two Sedanet Club Coupe for sale in New Jersey. This great looking Collector Car is in excellent condition and have always been garage kept. Everything on this car has been rebuilt or replaced in the past few years.

The original engine is a 331 cubic inch 160 horsepower V-8 and has been rebuilt. The four speed Hydramatic automatic transmission is also original. All rubber and glass has been replaced. Brakes, wheel cylinders, bushings, tierod end and leaf springs have been replaced. Tires are new diamond back classic 3 1/4 in whitewalls with like new Cadillac wire wheels. Bumpers, grille and fender moldings have been rechromed. Exterior color is black and the interior matches the original factory materials and color, including the ivory steering wheel. 1938 Diamond T Truck For Sale In Colorado

1938 Diamond T Truck Model 201 for sale in Colorado with new yellow paint. There is no rust anywhere and the cab is all original with all chrome and a very rare grille, which was only made for two years. You will never find another 1938 Diamond T Collector Truck, especially in this condition.

The Diamond T Truck Co. began making cars in 1905, but by 1911 they were only making trucks. Trucks that compared to Cadillac and Rolls-Royce. The company was owned by Charles A. Tilt and his Diamond T Truck Co. built great trucks enabling the company to thrive even during the Great Depression. Building mainly larger commercial trucks, Tilt began producing his one ton Diamond T 201 in the late 1930s. Tilt designed the 201 with headlights, fenders and bumpers resembling elegant Chrysler's.

1931 Chevrolet For Sale In Michigan

1931 Chevrolet for sale in Michigan. Considered Americas most popular car in 1931, the Chevrolet Independence Sedan series AE 2-door coach had a production run of over 228,000 units. Finished in a dark blue with black fenders and yellow wheels with a contrasting blue pin stripe. The interior is a gray mohair as original. Incredible 1948 Chevrolet Stylemaster two door sedan for sale in Missouri with only 45,000 original miles. This gorgeous rust free Arizona car is ready for the show or a nice long road trip. The car has been freshly repainted to bring it back to its original grandeur and the interior is original and fresh. The 1946, 1947, and 1948 Chevrolet Stylemaster, Fleetmaster, and Fleetline were warmed over versions of Chevrolet's 1942 cars. The motor is the original 6 cylinder that runs excellent. The motor is connected to a 3 on the tree air assist shift manual transmission.

1908 Buick Model 10

This 100 year old 1908 Buick Model 10 helped create General Motors. Includes the original 165 cubic inch 22.5 horsepower overhead valve 4 cylinder engine and planetary manual transmission. Notice the beautiful brass lamp and accessories, wood spoke wheels, leather interior and Mother in law rear seat.

The Buick Motor Car Co. Detroit, Michigan began in 1903. This car sold for about $1200.00 new. Unique features to this car and all Buick's there after is the Overhead Valve Engine. In 1908 W.C. Durant formed General Motors, Buick being one of the original members of the group. In the first race (1909) at the Indianapolis Speedway, Bob Burman drove a 1908 Buick to victory. Sales exceeded 30,000 car by 1910. This 1908 Buick Model 10 sat in an automobile dealership showroom for over 30 years and is excellent condition.

The Hudson Motor Car Company, Detroit, Mich. was founded in 1909 and built its first cars in 1910. During the Second World War Hudson was busy in the nation's defense effort. It wasn't until 1948 that it began making cars again. Hudson stopped production in 1954 and joined Nash Motor Co (1917-1954) to form AMC.

1929 Ford Model A U.S. Mail Truck For Sale

1929 Ford Model A U.S. Mail Truck for Sale in New York. Found in a field in upstate New York in 1977, this old 1929 mail truck was an 11 year restoration project by David W. Zimmerli. At the 1988 National Convention held in Sturbridge, MA. the mail truck was awarded 2nd Place in the restored category. In the late 1920s, the chassis for these mail trucks were built by Ford, but the white oak, ash, and yellow poplar body was constructed to government specifications by the York-Hoover Body Corp. of York, PA. Only 400 Mail Trucks were built in 1929! Engine is a rebuilt 4 Cylinder with 40 horsepower. Transmission is a 3 speed. The Model A's delivered mail throughout the thirties and World War II. They were phased out of service between 1948 and 1950. Note the US Army poster on the side panel.

A website has been created to view over 60 photos and documents of this beautiful and rare 1929 Model A U.S. Mail Truck, including photos of the way it was found back in 1977, through its restoration in the 1980's, as well as photos of it today.

1928 Rolls-Royce


This is a late model 20 Barker Tourer 1928 Rolls-Royce Convertible with Yellow paint and great looking black leather interior. This old collector car is in excellent mechanical condition. Great driving car. New top. Everything in working condition.

The automobile may have been invented in Germany but it took two Brits, Charles Rolls and Henry Royce, to refine this collector car. This 1928 Rolls-Royce is a great car for someone who is looking to begin or add to a pre-war collection.
